Historic Charm
The Dun Cow is one of the oldest pubs in the UK. Built around 1085 by Roger de Montgomery, the First Earl of Shrewsbury, it served as a hostel for skilled masons supervising the building of St. Peter and St. Paul (later called The Abbey). It had its own brewery by 1105 and likely existed even earlier.
Beer Garden
The Dun Cow offers spacious outdoor seating for good weather, where you can enjoy your meal and drinks on our new deck at the back. If you like people-watching, relax on the paved terrace at the front of the building.
